Comfortable, soft, loose-fit women’s pullover by Steppenstrolch, made from exclusive yak wool. Yaks roam the steppes of Mongolia in large herds alongside nomadic herders. In spring, when their winter coats begin to shed, the yaks are combed. Each yak yields only a small amount of wool, making yak wool one of the most exclusive and expensive types of wool in the world. The wool is used to make a range of products in small-scale workshops.

This pullover is not organically certified, but the wool is as natural as it gets. It is pure, undyed, sustainably and ethically sourced and produced, and of high quality. The properties of yak wool:

• temperature-regulating, making it suitable for every season
• hygroscopic (breathable and moisture-wicking)
• hypoallergenic (does not cause allergic reactions)
• super-soft, fine fibres

This pullover is made from undyed, natural grey wool. We have a few sweaters in stock. You’re welcome to visit our shop to see, try on and feel the sweater. It is also available in yak brown or dark brown.

Often, simply airing the sweater out for a day after wearing it is enough. Odours usually disappear from wool clothing this way, so washing isn’t necessary. If needed, the garment can be washed on a 30°C wool cycle, with a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm and wool detergent. Before hanging the wet garment up, gently reshape it.
